Kelechi Iheanacho has been injured again. This is his second injury in a space of 6 weeks. The Nigerian forward was initially named in the Nigerian provisional squad for the AFCON, but was later dropped from the final 28- man squad heading to the AFCON.

Celtic former players have labeled the signing of Iheanacho as a “panic buy,” suggesting that the club should not have signed him considering his injury record. Though, these Celtic’s former players acknowledged that his signing has really improved the club’s attacking instincts and somehow has been one of their best players.

Iheanacho was signed to Celtic by his former coach at Leicester City, Brendan Rodgers, unfortunately, he left barely a month after signing Kelechi to the Scottish giants.
