Now let’s look at some players who are making a return to the team and may likely be part of the team to Morocco;

Francis Uzoho-

He was a reliable hand for the Super Eagles during the 2018 World Cup in Russia, unfortunately, he lost form and that has plagued him for a long time. As we write he is in the form of his life again, and with the unpredictable nature of Stanley Nwabali and his consistent emotional drama and the inability of Maduka Okoye to reclaim the number spot from Nwabali it has become necessary for there to be a serious contender for that number spot.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru-

He has been in and out of the Super Eagle’s set as a result of injuries. His quality has remained evergreen, his creativity and energy are needed in the midfield. Hopefully, his come back will result in his AFCON participation.

Kelechi Iheanacho and Paul Onuachu-

These guys used to be the go-to-guys for the Super Eagles until the emergence of new players. Iheanacho’s creativity guaranteed him of a place in the team but not anymore as injuries have dealt a heavy blow to his career.

Paul Onuachu on the other hand has started firing those goals again. His short stay in England did a great disservice to his career, however since moving to Turkey, his career has seen an upward tick, just like Iheanacho there is a great possibility of us seeing him at the AFCON.
