Kun Khalifat FC have withdrawn from playing in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). According to information reaching us, the club had issues going to Borno State to play league football.

The club informed the NPFL that they will not be playing that match as a result of security concerns since they would be going by road to Borno state. The club made it clear that they would not be risking the lives of their players and staff to embark on such journey.


Kun Khalifat went further to plead with the NPFL to move their match to another venue for safety. Although the NPFL acknowledged receiving their letter but made no further comment on their request for a while.


Kun Khalifat went ahead to not play the game and was subsequently fined N10m suspended fine. However, the club is a press release made it clear that they are withdrawing from the league since the NPFL board have refused to give them a fair hearing.
