It is no longer news that Ahmed Musa has officially retired from football (not just international football). His football career has spanned over 18 years, but we are going to focus on his time with the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles.

Ahmed Musa is no small person in world football, scoring 4 goals in FIFA World Cup is no mean feet, and doing that in two different World Cup tournaments showed class. Doing that against Iceland and Argentina is something to look back on and smile with pride.

An illustrious career filled with experiences wonderful or not, all were beautiful whose Super Eagles career started at the tender age of 17, a player who was simultaneously called up for the U-20, U-23, and the Super Eagles respectively. It did not end there; he became the first player in the history of world football to be the highest goal scorer in league football at the age of 17, this happened in 2010, in the Nigeria Premier League while he was still playing for Kano Pillars or during his first stint with the Sai Masu Gida side.

Now that he has officially retired from the playing football, we are happy to see transition from playing to the administrative side of football. He was appointed as the General Manager of Kano Pillars in July 2025, to manage the club and take it back to it lost glory. We hope that he will do well in this position.
