The Ugandan national team, the Cranes of Uganda, have stage a protest against the country’s FA. According to information available, the players refused to train on Sunday siting owed allowances, and lack of clarity about their potential earnings from the AFCON tournament.

The Cranes are not always known for being outspoken, however, in recent history, this is the first time that the East African team will be on the headlines (most especially) for match bonuses and allowances.

However, the FA president has addressed the media that the situation is under control as they have had a round table discussion regarding the issue and have found a common ground with the players.

The Cranes are in group C with the Super Eagles of Nigeria, the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, and Taifa Stars of Tanzania.
