The Super Eagles have had a major reshuffle within its ranks. This reshuffle is coming on the back of the retirement from football and international football of both Ahmed Musa and Troost Ekong respectively.

The reshuffle means that a new Captain and an assistant Captain have been named; Wilfred Ndidi has been named the new Super Eagles captain with Victor Osimhen named as the team’s assistant captain.

Also, in the spirit of the reshuffle, the team now has a new penalty taker in Victor Osimhen. Prior to now, the team’s penalty taker was Willam Troost Ekong who actually was the captain following the partial retirement of Ahmed Musa.

Today, the Super Eagles will be up against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in a group C game of the on going African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
