The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued a statement concerning the verdict it will release tomorrow regarding the events that took place in the AFCON final between Senegal and the host, Morocco.

According to the statement, CAF made it clear that it intends to conclude the investigation as quickly as possible so as to avoid any unnecessary speculation.

CAF also revealed that it will investigate the audio communications between the referee and the VAR officials, the video evidence of the incident that happened. CAF also revealed that they will investigate the build up to the withdrawal by Senegal, and then give their verdict.
