Nigerian defender, Benjamin Fredrick has revealed that he is well on course to return to the Super Eagles fold before the AFCON 2027 qualifiers starts in March.

According to the defender, though he is optimistic about a quick recovery, he will wait for directions from the doctors who have been on his case since he got injured.

He is of the opinion that though he feels his return to football is almost certain to be a matter of a few weeks but he will not rush himself, according to him, he will patiently wait until he recovers fully before playing again.

When asked about him thoughts about the just concluded AFCON, he said that he was very impressed with what he saw, most especially with the style of play the Super Eagles played. He also shared his thoughts about the organization of the tournament, where he had nothing but praises for the host Morocco and CAF.
