The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have announced that henceforth goalkeepers will not be allowed to enter the field of player with towels. According to CAF, towels are not part of football gears.

This decision has sparked concern and heavy criticism from football fans all over the continent and with many questioning the wisdom in such decision considering that goalkeepers need towels to keep the gloves dried in humid conditions.

Many have questioned CAF over its handling of the unfootballing actions of Moroccan ball boys and some footballers.

Also, it seems like CAF is not ready to sanction Morocco over the unfair treatment it melted out on opposing teams during the course of the tournament.
