The Portuguese national team has proposed a friendly match between them and the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Despite not going to the World Cup (except the fort coming FIFA verdict says otherwise) the Super Eagles are seen as a capable team to play against.

According to the information reaching us, the Portuguese FA reached out to the NFF for the friendly match which they want to be played on the 6th of June (which is a few days before the FIFA World Cup kick off).

However, a venue is yet to be agreed on as there are logistical issues to be sorted out before a venue is to be set. It is also to know that the NFF is currently waiting for the FIFA verdict to determine if the Super Eagles will be at the World Cup this summer.
