Senegalese national team head coach Papa Thiaw has urged fans, supporters, family and his fellow citizens to not bother about raising any funds for him to clear the fines placed on him by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Papa Thiaw’s fine comes as a fallout of the chaos that followed the referee decision to award a penalty at the end of the 90 minutes regulation time during the AFCON final match between Morocco and Senegal.

Senegal protested the referee’s penalty decision and ended walking out of the match as a result of the coach’s instructions. Though they came back to finish the match and eventually won the trophy even as the Senegalese goalkeeper, Mendy, kept the penalty from Brahim Diaz.

The $100,000 fine on the Papa Thiaw is one of the numerous fines that the CAF disciplinary committee placed on both Morocco and Senegal.
