There are serious indications that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are willing to send the Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, to a top European club to undergo some tactical training so as to help him improve.

This is coming on the heels of a possible contract offer being prepared by the NFF for Eric Chelle. Also, in addition, the Super Eagles players have made it clear to the Federation that they should do everything possible to retain the services of the coach so as to have a continuity plan for the team most especially now that the players are beginning to understand the coach and his tactics.

Also, the NFF feels continuing with the coach will allow for a smooth transition of future players from the junior teams to the Super Eagles. Another thing being put forward is the commencement of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers starting from March the federation feels there is not enough time to left him go just to start looking for a new coach for the team.
