AFCON has come and gone the things remaining are the memories we are left with. However, we are not going to dwell on the memories of AFCON instead we are going to focus on building a new national team.

Starting with the goal keeping position; we believe that the Super Eagles need two more goal keepers who are competitive in their clubs and are ready to fight for the number shirt.

The defense seems a bit stable considering that there were a lot of rotations in the backline yet we stayed stable. However, we need 4 more reliable defenders and to join the backline.

The midfield is where we need to work on. The midfield became porous following the suspension of Ndidi, and the resting of Iwobi, though, Frank Onyeka was still filled with energy. However, the midfield needs three more players who are competitive and creative for there to be some level of stability.

The forward positions need to be worked on. In the next 3 years most of our strikers will start battling with age related declines which includes injuries, loss of form and not being sharp in front of goal. So the rebuilding of the Super Eagles squad starts now.
